BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide derived from a sequence associated with a naturally occurring gastric protein. It has attracted considerable experimental interest for its potential involvement in tissue repair, gastrointestinal protection, vascular signaling, and recovery-related biological processes.

A substantial portion of BPC-157 research has focused on tissue healing and regeneration. Preclinical studies have investigated its effects in experimental models involving tendons, ligaments, skeletal muscle, bone, skin, and other connective tissues.
